Mediation

Sometimes, instead of acting as someone's attorney, I am the mediator in a case.  A mediator is a neutral, who doesn't act as anyone's attorney, but helps both sides really hear each other and their concerns, problem solve and find solutions that work for both of them.  I help them come to an agreement so they don't have to go to court.

Parent Coordination

In yet another role, I am also a parent coordinator.  That's really a mediator with special training in family conflict and child development.  As a parent coordinator, I help parents identify issues and reach decisions that work for everyone in the family.  I also help teach parents how to communicate with each other so they can be better co-parents.
